These recordings were made by Wendy Arundale and Bill Schneider with Arnold Brower, Sr. and Emily Brower at their home. The latter two recordings were review tapes, made to clarify information from the first discussion. The research was funded by the North Slope Borough, Commission on History, Language, and Culture and its purpose was to document historic sites in the Meade River, Chipp and Ikpikpuk River areas. The results of this research are reported by Arundale and Schneider in Quliaqtuat Iñupiat Nunafiññiñ - The Report of the Chipp-Ikpikpuk River and Upper Meade River Oral History Project (1987).
